Abstract
To provide a highly integrated low cost GSM receiver, a conventional broad band superheterodyne receiver, using a negative resistance based, active bandpass IF filter is proposed. Sensitivity and linearity are similar to those of a conventional superheterodyne receiver. The solution also benefits from not needing dynamic DC offset calibration. In addition, a transceiver integration proposal is made
