Abstract :
The combination design of predictive functional control and PID method (PFC-PID) for liquid level of industrial coking equipment is presented. The control target is to maintain the liquid level of a coking fractionating tower within a set range by manipulating the fluid flow into the coking furnaces, while rejecting the effect of disturbances. The proposed control selects a simple structure and a modification of the classical control scheme to improve control performance. Results compared with traditional PID under similar conditions are improved. Application on the real plant is also described, demonstrating the efficiency of the method.
