Abstract :
According to the essential reasons for equipments failure of diesel locomotive, the shortages of present calculating method of overhaul cycle of diesel locomotive are analyzed. Simultaneously, a new overhaul cycle model based on the stress analysis is presented. This model adopts Miner Criterion and reliability theory to estimate the equipmentspsila maintenance life-time of diesel locomotive and to calculate the damage value of the key components, then estimates the overhaul cycle of diesel locomotive.
