Abstract :
To investigate the role of Ginsenoside Re on myocardial ischemia reperfusion injury in rats model and its possible protective mechanism. 40 rats were randomly divided into 4 groups: sham operated group, ischemia reperfusion group and Ginsenoside Re treatment groups. Several important hemodynamic parameters were determined. Levels of MDA cTnI, CK-MB and activities of SOD, CAT and GSH-Px in serum were determined; The myocardial ultrastructure was observed under electron microscope; Reperfusion arrhythmia were recorded. As compared with myocardial ischemia reperfusion injury group, animals treated with Ginsenoside Re showed improved hemodynamics, a decreasing rate of reperfusion arrhythmia, a declined levels of MDA, cTnI and CK-MB in serum. The activities of SOD, CAT and GSH-Px in animals treated with Ginsenoside Re increased and the ultrastructure of myocardial in Ginsenoside Re group was kept much more stable than that in ischemia-reperfusion group. Ginsenoside Re have a protective effect on myocardial ischemia reperfusion injury in rat model, and its mechanism may be related to the alleviation of damages caused by oxygen free radical.
