Abstract
This presentation introduces a new low-power chip-set for vision IF and sound IF signal processing in stereo TV sets. The improved performance of the IF signal stages is demonstrated by comparing it with that of existing ICs, and by giving measurement results for MAC and digital sound (NICAM) reception. This new chip-set works perfectly from a 5 V supply and dissipates only 0.5 W although it incorporates additional functions and achieves a very high level of performance.<>
