Abstract :
This paper deals with the design and simulation on a low cost Flux Switching Reluctance Machine (FSRM). With the assistance of FEA, the 3-D non-linear inductance model for FSRM accounting for different exciting currents is obtained. The complete simulation model of FSRM including both the machine body and power controller is established. Based on the presented model, the instantaneous numerical simulation is processed to investigate the machine performance. At last, a 2.2kW prototype machine is designed together with controller and power converter, the experiment results demonstrate that the established model in this paper is able to predict the instantaneous performance of FSRM, therefore, has important significance in designing FSRM driving system.
