Abstract :
This paper addresses a fuzzy control strategy for a biotechnology process. This process makes use of a continuous stirred tank reactor (CSTR) to convert ferrous iron (Fe2+) into ferric iron (Fe 3+) by means of thiobacillus ferrooxidans in a sulfide biooxidation process. The controller was designed on the basis of the Mamdani fuzzy model. Numerical simulations are given to illustrate the performance of the fuzzy controller
