Abstract :
In this paper the magnetic flux calculation is presented on a cross-section inside a multi-wire conductor in which the aluminum wires are turned helically over a steel-core. The magnetic field is analyzed as depending on the turning step, the characteristics of the steel-core and the geometrical dimensions of the multi-wire conductor. Finite element method is used in this analysis, implemented in software package Opera Vector Field. The obtained results are presented as graphic representations and numeric values in tables.
