Abstract :
A method is presented to investigate high-rank line of sight (LOS) multiple input multiple output (MIMO) channels by using matrix perturbation theory in microwave relay system. The upper and lower bounds channel capacity based on space time block codes (STBCs) technique and singular values decomposition (SVD) are also derived. Moreover, the condition number of MIMO channel matrix is studied to deduce a useful constraint for high-rank LOS MIMO channels. Our theoretical analysis channel capacity line up exactly with the simulation results, which are able to give a physical explanation of the high rank LOS channel characteristics.
