Abstract
In this paper a methodology for the design of model based, stabilising controllers for a hierarchical plug and play process control system is presented. This is achieved by letting the local closed loop systems adhere to a specification, i.e., a family of systems given as an uncertain system. A simulation example, in which a supermarket refrigeration system is controlled during plug in of additional display cases is reported to show the potential of this approach for plug and play process control.
