Abstract :
To research structural strength of twin seat underframe in motor train unit, lightweight design and improvement, two analytic methods which are FEA and the experiment are used. First of all, twin seat underframe model is built. And according to the requirements of twin seat underframe, material property and loads are defined. FEA model is built and analyzed. Then, comparison result of FEA and experiment is done. According to the comparison, FEA model is effective and twin seat underframe has plenty of space to optimize. Finally twin seat underframe is improved.
