Abstract
A knowledge-based system (KBS) is developed as a computer-aided tool for power converter designers. The knowledge acquired from experienced designers is generalized and extended in the KBS. The algorithm-based methods are integrated with the KBS to overcome the difficulty of incomplete design knowledge. This integrated method is intended to reduce the design time and costs. Practical converter design examples are provided
