  • Abstract
Transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS) is a powerful, non-invasive tool for investigating functions in the brain. This technique is proved to have potential application as a diagnostic and therapeutic tool of neuropsychiatric diseases and provides a unique opportunity of studying brain behaviour relations in normal humans. Eight-figure coil is usually used in the therapy and studies. Big stimulation intensity at target tissues is what the clinical trials need. In this paper, a coil array called double eight-figure coil is proposed. The double eight-figure coil has a good focality and bigger stimulation intensity than eight-figure coil.
