Abstract :
An image analysis, visualization, and segmentation system has been developed to assist researchers participating in a world-wide imaging study led by the National Institute on Aging to determine risk factors contributing to chronic osteoarthritis. The system provides a sophisticated but simple to use interface that directs the segmentation of muscle, fat, and other tissues of interest in thigh and abdomen computed tomography images.
