Abstract :
Echocardiography is nowadays a current method for qualitative assessment of the structural, anatomical and functional performances of the heart as well as for detection of abnormalities produced by any heart disease. The algorithm presented here segments the cardiac tissue in three different classes and is based on the analysis of the histogram of absolute differences, which is used for texture detection.
