Abstract :
Electromagnetic interference (EMI) is generated generally by the periodic switching of the valves in HVDC converter station. Each converter body will have a rapid on-off transient electromagnetic process. The steady-state electromagnetic environment of converter station is complex with a cyclical transient electromagnetic process. This work focuses on the electromagnetic radiation of the converter valve, due to the rapid on-off. The paper mainly studies the simulation on electromagnetic radiation of high voltage converter station valves on two methods, namely, direct frequency domain method and impedance transformation method, building the time-varied radiation model, then analyzing the results between the two methods.
