Abstract :
We derive an expression for the angle random walk for a vibrational gyro due to mechanical thermal noise. We compare the noise effects on the output signal to the effect of the rotation rate, rather than ´back up´ the noise to the rotation rate. We avoid ambiguity concerning the bandwidth, and show a factor of two reduction in noise power due to synchronous demodulation
