Abstract
We validate a recent Nakagami phase difference distribution [1] by comparing it with the Ricean phase difference distribution. We quantify its fitness using the Kullback-Leibler distance. Based on the phase difference, we derive a new joint probability density function of the correlated Nakagami envelope. This is given in closed form in terms of a generalized hypergeometric function, and the random variable can be easily generated for simulation.
