Abstract
In order to reduce the adjacent channel interference to comply with the transmitted spectrum emission masks of the IEEE 802.11p standard, the power amplifier, integrated into our prototype for vehicular communications, needs to be linearised. Here a hardware-software platform to implement and to validate digital pre-distortion for power amplifier linearisation is outlined. All the steps to develop and to validate both the power amplifier and the digital pre-distorter models are stated in a flowchart. The digital pre-distorter that we have implemented reduces 20 dB the interference in adjacent channels which results in an adjacent channel power ratio of 60 dB.
