Abstract :
A two-phase buck-boost-type high-voltage/high-current DC-DC converter is proposed, for application to an auxiliary power source in electric railway rolling stock. The main load of the converter is a three-phase inverter which supplies AC power to an inverter-type air-conditioner, by experiments. The circuit behavior and the operation modes are examined, and the steady-state and dynamic characteristics are analyzed using the averaged equivalent circuit model
