Abstract
An efficient implementation of set-point tracking predictive control strategy is presented. The multistep output predictor is used to derive the identified matrix in order to calculate the control force in terms of input/output time histories. The identified matrix can be derived recursively by a standard least-square technique. The formulation satisfies simultaneously system identification and predictive controller design requirement for tracking purposes
