Abstract :
This document is an introductory report on the design of a W-CDMA high-power PA. It concentrates on understanding the PA specifications; and translates them into a working prototype. The intended area of application is 3G node-B transmitter system. The design shall be able to meet the stringent QPSK behavior and operates between 2110 to 2170 MHz. It shall be able to produce a maximum of +46 dBm output power to conform to wide area base station category. It shall also satisfy the test requirements listed for W-CDMA.
