Abstract :
The problem of fault detection filters design is addressed in order to allow their use in a fault tolerant control scheme for a class of nonlinear systems. Using a geometric approach to design fault detection filters, the reconstruction of the fault signal is formulated as a control problem. Therefore, the estimate is used through a geometric approach to disturbance decoupling control. A practical system in papermaking is considered where the simulations have been performed in order to illustrate the use of the proposed method
