Abstract :
A small printed antenna is presented for ultra-wideband (UWB) applications. The configurations are etched onto a piece of printed circuit board (FR4) with a very compact size of 27 mm times 20 mm times 1.6 mm. The performances and characteristics of the antenna are investigated numerically. The effect of the notch at the ground plane is investigated. Parametric studies have also been carried out for the antenna. The results demonstrate that this miniaturized antenna is suitable for UWB applications.
