Abstract :
To find out the expressions of matrix metalloproteinase-14 (MMP-14) in the tissue of gastric carcinoma, and to analyze their relationship to the clinicopathologic parameters of gastric carcinoma. collecting 80 surgical specimens of gastric carcinoma pathologically proved, detecting the expressions of MMP-14 by means of the immunohistochemical S-P and the data being processed using the statistical software SPSS17.0. the expression level of MMP-14 is statistically related to the infiltration depth of gastric carcinoma, Dukes stages, lymphatic metastasis, difference of cases (P<;0.05), whereas the level is irrelevant to the patient´s age, sex, tumor location, general classification, histological types and differentiation (P>;0.05). MMP-14 is an important factor in the contraction and development of gastric carcinoma, which can be used as an index for the judgment of the invasion or metastasis of gastric carcinoma, and can also be a chief index for the prognosis of patients.
