Abstract
A synchronization scheme based on entire time hopping (TH) codes in multiuser TH-UWB system is proposed in this paper. A novel timing with dirty template (TDT) coarse synchronization scheme is presented, which is based on the synchronizing of the entire time hopping pulses on the premise that the users´ TH codes are orthogonal each other. And all the possible synchronization referential positions can be found for multiuser after only one single search. Then the coarse synchronization positions are used as the starting points to acquire fine synchronization for each user by few sliding correlations with its template (user synchronization sequences). The analysis of the performance and the simulation results show that the scheme is feasible. And it provides a new method for the synchronization of the impulse UWB system.
