Abstract :
The performance characteristics of the fuzzy sign detector for known signals are investigated and compared to those of the crisp sign detector. They authors also show that a parameter called `incredibility´ is an important factor of the performance of the fuzzy sign detector when additional noise contributes to observations. Finally they obtain some theorems and include simulation results to show that the fuzzy sign detector has a robustness property when additional noise exists
