  • Abstract
The purpose of this presentation is to describe basic magnetic principles used to make effective magnetic measurements are described. Following a brief review of terminology and units, some of the most common field measurement technologies are discussed, including Hall effect gaussmeters, integrating fluxmeters, and fluxgate magnetometers. It is hoped that this treatment will be helpful in understanding and determining what measuring equipment may be most appropriate for a given application
