Abstract
Use of new media technologies, in education sector, is on the lips of everybody. Indian education system is in the transition phase. Without diluting its traditional value added education system, in terms of its holistic approach, India is getting equipped with emergence of new media and new approaches in teaching. This paper discusses the strategies that can be used to enhance education to the masses, which is a prime requirement in India. It also highlights various challenges at social and behavior level of teachers and students, along with challenges to support infrastructure at e-content development level and net penetration level.
