Abstract :
To investigate the feasibility and clinical effects of adult orthodontics by comparing with teenager patients. From 2000 to 2008, Comparing 67 adult patients with 130 teenager patients on treatment methods, effects and stability, to analyze and discuss the feasibility and clinical effects of adult orthodontics. Adult treatment course is longer than teenager patients, the clinical effects of teenager patients is better than that of adult, but the stability of adult patients is significant better than teenager patients. So for the adult patients with malocclusion deformity if conditions were permitted, the patients had strong desires to reverse with advanced technology and efficient orthodontic materials, adult orthodontics is effective and feasible.
