Abstract :
The author presents a multichannel system embedded in the cellular environment with capture. The author first calculates the average number N of users entering a cell that is dependent on the mobility of the users, then uses the average number to analyze the performance of the system. A quantitative capture restriction with parameter μ⩾1 is considered. If ⩽μ packets are transmitted on a channel, the receiver can detect one of the packets. Numerical results show the effect of u and N and channel number M in a cellular system having fixed total bandwidth on the performance
