Abstract
The current flow path design models might lead to complicated scheduling and unbalanced bottleneck resources in some cells. A bottleneck resources focused flow path model is proposed in this paper. The number of the ultimate cells and the average load of the bottleneck resources are considered in the model. The proposed model can dynamically form high efficient virtual production cells, balance the average load of the bottleneck resources in cells and help to reduce the complexity of scheduling later on. Genetic algorithm is designed to solve the proposed model. The validity of the model and algorithm are verified by corresponding case studies.
