Abstract :
This paper presents measurement results of circuits designed in digital/analog CMOS structures implemented in two different methodologies: in a fixed-size transistors array and in a full-custom design. One oscillator and both Miller and folded-cascode type OTAs (Operational Transconductance Amplifier) designed on Sea-Of-Transistors (SOT) were prototyped and tested. OTA folded-cascode designed in full-custom and SOT arrays allow better comparisons between methodologies. This paper also presents delay-power characteristics for the 1.0 μm digital technology used for these designs. Comparisons are made with older 2.0 μm and 1.2 μm digital technologies also from the ATMEL ES2 foundry
