Abstract :
Although many approaches have been proposed for multimedia communications, few are suitable for small business offices. A low cost multimedia communications system model which was developed by P.C.K. Liu and C.Y. Li (see Proc. 13th Int. Telecom. Symposium, ROC, vol.3, p.121-5, 1992) is reviewed, and the performances of the system for different traffic handling approaches are evaluated. The result shows that `Movable channel capacity boundaries´ is the most suitable method for the system model
