Abstract :
We present the fundamental properties of fiber gratings like fabrication method, formation of resonant peaks, categories of fiber gratings, and so on. Since fiber gratings have the filtering characteristics like transmission or reflection, they play an important role in fiber communications and optical sensors as well.
