Abstract
Metaphors can be found in college English teaching materials frequently, which deeply influences the understanding on language for students. The theory of conceptual integration has strong interpretation for the metaphorical phenomenon in language. According to this theory, the author tries to decode the process of metaphorical meaning construction and to analyze how to strengthen the college English teaching in details by combining the metaphorical practice with purpose to improve students´ accurate understanding of metaphorical language.
