Abstract :
In order to save CP, improve the frequency band usage and improve the ISI situation, an algorithm is proposed that can realizes multi-carrier modulation and demodulation of signal transportation by fast wavelet packet transform. It adopts wavelet packet function as carriers which have the characteristic of good orthogonality and time-frequency limitation. It can be seen from both theoretical analysis and software simulation that multi-carrier modulation and demodulation technique based on wavelet packet transform (WPMD) has unique advantage and great potential in improving the performance of communication system. Realization methods are flexible and various. A scheme of WPMD was presented and implemented based on high-level FPGA. Real-time running result indicates that using a high performance FPGA can satisfy the requirement of large computation capability needed by WPMD and high-speed mobile communication.
