Abstract
In this work, the method of lines numerical technique is applied to analyze an asymmetrically coupled guided wave deep grating structure (ACGS), formed by directly coupling two asymmetric guided wave deep grating structures. The effect of grating period on the modal response of the ACGS is analyzed in general. Also, the effect of coupling the two asymmetric guided wave deep grating structures with a microcavity, on the modal response of the whole structure is investigated in general.
