Abstract :
As the Internet consists of a large number of nodes, measuring the whole Chinese Mainland is a time-consuming and demanding task. This paper addresses this issue by tactically choosing small-scale test sources and target IP address set and making a survey of Internet physical properties in central cities and second-tier cities. The research is focused on Internet diameter, degree distribution and clustering coefficient. Results show that the Internet is a complex network with "small world" phenomenon and "scale-free" feature.
