Abstract :
This paper analyzes a system using noncoherent M-ary frequency shift keying frequency hopping. A nonorthogonal code based on Steiner BIB designs allows for more potential users than with dedicated channels (bands or slots). This technique is used in an asynchronous multiple access channel characterized by multiuser interference, additive white Gaussian noise and frequency-nonselective slow (Rayleigh) fading. The system model is described and the nonorthogonal signaling discussed
