Abstract :
Against eliminating the multiple access interference (MAI) and sky-wave interference under multi-path channel in the radio navigation system, an improved hybrid interference cancellation (HIC) method that combines the advantages of both the successive interference canceller (SIC) and the parallel interference canceller (PIC) is proposed in this paper. It has the advantages of low complexity and easy hardware realization. The model structure is presented and the expression of bit error rate (BER) is derived analytically, the simulation results show that the method is obviously better than the traditional receivers in the presence of the estimation error (includes the timing and phase estimation errors), especially when the estimation errors are small, the probability of BER in the second stage of the improved HIC is two orders of magnitude higher than traditional receiver. The experiment verification results show that the improved HIC can improve the signal-to-noise (SNR) of the weak signal effectively and have a good performance to eliminate the MAI and the sky-wave interference, thus the improved HIC technique we proposed has high practical application value.
