Abstract :
The base station for JDC consists of a common amplifier, transmit/receiver equipment, a test transceiver and so on. The paper describes the configuration and the features of the newly developed base station transmit/receive equipment. The equipment is compact in size and provides 144 traffic channels per rack. Frequency assignment is flexible because of adopting a common amplifier. Approach line cost is reduced because 3 traffic channels are multiplexed in a 64 kbps PCM time slot. Maintenance is convenient because it is possible to supervise and control its functions from the operation and maintenance center
