Abstract :
The authors consider a combination of post-detection maximal-radio combining diversity and convolutional coding with hard decision decoding for π/4-shift QDPSK mobile radio transmission, which is employed in the TDMA cellular systems currently being developed in Japan and North America. They investigate the performance of this kind of combination scheme under frequency-selective fading channels
