  • Abstract
The problem of antenna synthesis according to a prescribed amplitude directivity pattern is of concern to inverse problems with partially given information on the directivity pattern. The essential incorrectness of the considered problems is underlined. A possibility of maximizing the special nonconvex functional is proved. Possible points of branching solutions are found in particular examples. The convergence of the iterative process can be infringed at these points
