Abstract
The polynomial model is commonly used for power amplifier predistorter design. However, the highest order of polynomial is limited by the baseband sampling, which can degrade the linearization performance. In this paper, we proposed a fractional order polynomial model, which includes fractional order terms besides odd and even terms. Computer simulation shows that the proposed polynomial has a better linearization performance than conventional polynomial under the same polynomial order. The implementation of a fractional order polynomial is also given in this paper.
