Abstract
A novel adaptive equalizer algorithm is proposed based on an array pattern synthesis algorithm, which provides a fast convergence speed with low complexity. By incorporating an interference suppression mechanism in the iterative procedure, the algorithm is able to achieve a performance that is very close to that of RLS algorithm. The proposed algorithm is demonstrated through computer simulation.
