Abstract :
A simplified nonlinear adaptive prediction approach based on nonlinear processing and truncated Volterra filter(VF) structure is proposed to effectively suppress narrowband inference(NBI) in the direct-sequence spread-spectrum( DSSS) receiver. Simplicity of the proposed structure compared to the Volterra expression makes it more appropriate for modeling and equalizing nonlinear channels. The performance of the approach is expressed in terms of BER. For the given application this structure achieves almost the same performance as second order Volterra filters at remarkably reduced computational cost.
