Abstract
Ultra-wideband (UWB) is a promising wireless technology that has drawn widespread attention due to its many possible applications such as short range, low power communications. UWB systems typically operate in the frequency band between 3.1 and 10.6 GHz, so they are susceptible to interference from other systems, which can degrade performance. Thus, interference mitigation is an important problem in UWB systems. In addition, at these frequencies very high sampling rates are required which leads to expensive and/or complex hardware. To address these issues, compressed sensing (CS) based detection is considered in this paper. This approach is shown to provide good interference rejection and signal reconstruction at sub-Nyquist sampling rates.
