Abstract
We have developed a highly temperature stable low-loss ceramic based on Ba(Co,Nb)O3. We optimized the amount of barium in Ba(Co,Nb)O3 ceramic and added TiO2 to Ba(Co,Nb)O 3 ceramic to make the temperature coefficient of the resonant frequency of Ba(Co,Nb)O3-based ceramic close to 0 ppm/°C with low dielectric loss. When the amount of barium in Bax(Co 1/3Nb2/3)O3 was 1.03 mol, the Q attained the maximum value of 14500. The temperature coefficient of resonant frequency (τf) could be controlled by varying the amount of TiO2 addition. When the amount of TiO2 addition was 0.025 mol, the τf became 0 ppm/°C. We constructed a super high frequency dielectric filter using Ba(Co,Nb)O3 based ceramic and measured its filter properties. The center frequency of the dielectric filter was 9.953 GHz, the loaded Q factor (QL ) was 1000, the insertion loss was 4.3 dB, and the temperature coefficient of center frequency (τf) was -0.8 ppm/°C
