  • Abstract
    Two methods of generating modified optical OFDM signals that give improved receiver sensitivities over NRZ in unamplified and amplified systems are compared using simulations. Asymmetric-Clipped Optical OFDM can compensate intermodal dispersion. Carrier-Suppressed Optical- Single Sideband OFDM can compensate chromatic dispersion.
